In 2000, Lamar and I purchased a property in Knights Valley with great potential but in need of loving care.  Shortly thereafter, we undertook a multi-year project to reinvigorate the property's prime agricultural soils, restore the riparian border along our stretch of Bidwell Creek, and plant a vineyard that now is producing outstanding premium grapes.

The result of that hard work and the dedication and artistry of the Perfect Season team was instrumental in achieving our goal to create a wine expressing our unique site and soil.  I am grateful for the commitment of Philippe Melka, winemaker, and Jim Barbour, viticulturalist, and their staffs who worked in tandem to bring Perfect Season Cabernet Sauvignon to fruition.
